Est. 2006
The Centaurus Foundation has been working on behalf of animals since 2006. It is an international nonprofit organization that focuses its activities and projects on animal welfare in many aspects.
More than 2500 horses rescued
A herd of nearly 1,000 rescued horses, dozens of donkeys, a couple of hundred dogs, and numerous livestock and pets are a credit to the 400,000 Donors from around the world who have committed to the organization.
Europe's largest shelter
Animal Farm in Szczedrzykowice (near Legnica), acquired by Centaurus in 2012, is now the largest equine asylum in Europe, where some 500 ungulates and other animals are cared for.

The Centaurus Foundation operates, thanks to the dedication of many volunteers and several employees
One of the priorities of our foundation, in addition to protecting animal rights and working for animal contact therapy, is to support other organizations/individuals whose goals coincide with our statutory objectives. We support adoptive families in the treatment and maintenance of horses (conditions for adoption are on the home page in the “adoptions” section). We purchase horses, rehabilitate them, pre-train them and give them free of charge for hippotherapy. We organize activities for children and young people at risk of social marginalization. We financially, materially and substantively support organizations with a similar profile.
